Back to quick meal :P Since I only had a few hours to spend in Frioul Island, which is located approximately 4 km from Marseille, I had no choice but to grab a sandwich for lunch so that I had enough time to walk around.
Steak Haché Sandwich (avec Frites et Crudités) €5.50 (~S$9.60)
The name of the food I ordered simply means "minced beef sandwich (with fries and raw vegetables)". Anyway, the minced beef was quite juicy and tender, and the vegetables were of acceptable freshness. I was quite surprised that they didn't put the fries in a separate container, but instead dumped them into the sandwich. It was indeed my first time eating a sandwich filled with fries haha... Too bad the sandwich was kinda dry. Pika's advice: If you want vegetables in your sandwich, you really have to specifically order the one with the phrase "avec crudités". Don't assume that the usual sandwich will come with vegetables (like some of my friends did) :P If you just order the sandwich, it'll only come with the meat!
Ohh, the other day when we saw our bill, the word 'Chinois' (lit. Chinese) was written on the table number column instead of the actual table number where we sat. LOL...
