FRA: CISP Centre Kellermann [Breakfast]

Great croissant for breakfast!

CISP stands for les Centres Internationaux de Séjours de Paris, and I stayed in their Kellermann branch during the weekend trip to Paris. Apparently, the hostel has good ratings online.

The cafeteria is spacious enough. Oh, I was delighted to see lots of yogurt and hard boiled eggs!

Breakfast (Round 1)

Canoeist's breakfast? Yup, that was my first round haha... I didn't take any other pictures following that though. Anyway, the star of the day was the croissant which was really flaky and crispy. Moreover, it tasted really buttery. On the other hand, the bread to the left of the croissant was a bit hard. The ham wasn't too salty with only a small portion of fatty layer on the edge of each slice. Hmm, what else? I mixed the plain yogurt with strawberry jam, and it tasted great! And of course, nothing could beat a glass of rich milk and a glass of fresh orange juice.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 7/10
Ambience: 7/10
Overall: 7/10

Pika's advice: You can find Van Houten hot chocolate as well, but it was a bit diluted the other day. You can go for another brand called Banania which is quite popular in France. At first my friend thought that it was a banana flavoured chocolate drink, especially because the brand had a yellow backdrop (and indeed, one might read it as "Banana" instead). She actually asked a young boy queueing behind her about what she thought, and the boy was like, "Huh?" (Sorry, Sam :P) So yeah, now you know, it's just a usual chocolate drink without banana infusion whatsoever. No need to ask around. By the way, I found it quite nice.

as I will go there this august, I am very happy to find your personal review of kellermann. so? any advices? do you think it is good overall?
hi hanciong,

hmm, honestly i didn't spend a lot of time in the dorm since i only came back late at night everyday, so i'm not entirely sure abt the facilities there.

as for the room, it was ok, i guess. basic, but clean. the toilet was a bit too small though, in my opinion.

breakfast was fine, and yup, the croissant was great haha!

hopefully it helps! anyway, thanks for dropping by and have fun in paris! :)
