Chicken rice on a bus!

When I was planning for the trip to KL, one question struck my mind, "Which bus should I take?" I then did online research, and many people recommended travelling in the luxurious Solitaire Coach of Transtar Travel, a Singapore company specialising in coach travel and tours since its inception in 1994. When the day came, I found myself seated on one of the comfortable seats on the upper deck, enjoying my journey.

Nasi Ayam
Taste: 7.5/10

Around 45 minutes after departure, the attendant, well-groomed in uniform, asked if I would like to have my meal then. I nodded, and he soon came with a tray of warm nasi ayam (lit. chicken rice). The rice was unexpectedly pretty flavourful. The chicken meat was firm, and while not entirely moist, it had absorbed the soy sauce in which it was cooked and became tasty. The skin was slightly dry though. The egg and beancurd were well-braised as well. Pika's advice: You can even have your meal about one hour before arrival! The person sitting behind me requested that to the attendant as she wanted to sleep during most of the journey.

Jasmine Tea

The attendant also offered a few choices of tea and coffee to go with the meal. I chose the hot jasmine tea which was really aromatic.

Oat Crackers & Milk Tea

So sorry that my hand ruined the picture because I was afraid that the cup would topple :P Anyway, snack was offered about one hour after I finished the meal. It was EGO oat digestive cracker, which I like. The hot milk tea was nice and sweet, and it kept me awake as I watched movies and played games on the in-bus entertainment system. Oh, a bottle of water was also placed on each seat.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 7.5/10
Ambience: 9/10
Service: 8.5/10
Overall: 8.5/10

Service was great as the friendly attendant often walked up to the upper deck to check on the passengers. The reclining seats are pretty similar to those you can find on business or first class cabin on the airplane. Alright, this would end the review on KL stuff for now, and I shall start reviewing on Hong Kong food soon! :)
