MFM: Quick Rich Meals @ Tastes of Asia, Galaxy Macau

Choose from five different stalls!

My friend and I purchased our ferry tickets to Macau from a travel agency in HK, and included was a Quick Rich Meals coupon for each ticket which can be redeemed for a set meal from some of the stalls in Tastes of Asia food court at Galaxy Macau.

Wing's Lemongrass Pork Chop Set
Taste: 8.5/10

Our first choice was the daily set meal offered by Wing's Chicken. To my delight, the pork chop was pretty crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and most importantly, it really had a strong lemongrass taste. The soup of the day was lotus root and peanut soup which was one of the thickest I've ever had.

Hot and Sour Fish Fillet Set
Taste: 8/10

The next choice fell on the daily set meal offered by Al Pasha Express. The fish fillet was first battered and fried without causing it to lose much of its moisture. Thick sauce was then poured onto the fish which was, as appropriately suggested by the name, refreshingly sour and pretty hot at the same time. Well, I was glad it wasn't overly spicy. The soup of the day was watercress soup which somehow lacked taste.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 8/10
Ambience: 6.5/10
Overall: 7/10

Other stalls, if unchanged, include Da Ge Barbecue, Steamed and Double-Boiled and Hok Kee Noodle. I shall try out the double-boiled stuff next time! Pika's advice: Do look out for promotions from travel agencies when you want to go to Macau by ferry! They often sell the tickets at a cheaper price with the meal coupons included!
