SIN: Canadian Pizza [Delivery]

How are the gourmet two-for-one pizzas?

First of all, happy 49th birthday, Singapore! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything thus far! To celebrate this year's National Day, I went for two-for-one pizzas. What else can it be, other than Canadian Pizza which phone number of 6241 0241 even reflects the deal?

Authentic Pastrami and Chorizo (2 x 10") S$27.90
Taste: 7/10

Instead of the mainstream selections, I went for something unique under the 'Gourmet Pizza' menu. Featuring delicatessen smoked beef and beef sausages as sources of proteins, the pizza was apparently sweeter than it was savoury, especially due to the toasted tomatoes and bell peppers. The crust itself was adequately thick without being crispy, and it was a pity that it came lukewarm.

Pesto Cheese (2 x 10") S$27.90
Taste: 7.5/10

Slightly better was the vegetarian option, which was unexpectedly lacking in the green colour for a pesto pizza. It was really lacking in the promised basil and oregano, but the mixture of cheese was more savoury and aromatic, balanced by lots of black olives.

Greek Salad S$4.90
Taste: 7/10

Comprising lettuce, onions, tomatoes, black olives, croutons feta cheese, herbs, olive oil and a tinge of lemon juice, the salad was moderately fresh. The amount of olives could be increased though.

Beef Shepherd's Pie S$6.50
Taste: 6/10

The meat pie covered with mashed potatoes was ordinary. While the amount of minced beef wasn't disappointing at all, it could be more juicy. The crust could be moister too.

Chicken Wings (6 pcs) S$10.20
Taste: 6.5/10

It was my first time trying their chicken wings. Truth be told, they didn't have a beautiful appearance, and their taste wasn't that memorable either. While the aroma of pepper was quite good, some of them were a bit dry.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 7.5/10

My order came exactly on time. Having said that, I can recall the days when Canadian Pizza used to be much better. Perhaps I should just stick to their Hawaiian priced at S$21.90 for two. Pika's advice: Do look out for great value packages and other promotions in their website!
