SIN: Pecori Japanese Egg Restaurant

A huge variety of omu rice with free flow salad bar!

Liang Court Shopping Centre is home to Japanese restaurants. Affordable ones are available, such as Pecori Japanese Egg Restaurant that allows you to dig into their free flow salad bar with every purchase of a main course per person. Be awed by their wide selections of omelette rice.

Bacon and Mushroom Tomato Omu Rice S$9.80
Taste: 8/10

I was delighted to find out that the omelette was fluffy, paired with adequately thick tomato sauce that could be slightly sweeter. For a contrast, white sauce was ladled over imparted a creamy sensation to the tongue. The bacon slices were savoury, while the mushrooms were juicy enough.

The tomato fried rice that was encased by the omelette was cooked-well, even though it could be more flavourful.

Seafood Cream Omu Rice S$16.80
Taste: 8/10

While the overall colours might look somewhat pale, the taste definitely didn't pale in comparison to its above-mentioned counterpart. The seafood items shown in the photo were fresh, especially the crab that was delectably sweet. The cream sauce was savoury without being overly heavy.

Free Flow Salad Bar

While there wasn't much to be offered, I enjoyed the garlicky pasta the most. The vegetables were of acceptable freshness, while the clear soup didn't have much taste. You can also drink as much tea (not shown) as you want.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 8/10
Ambience: 5/10
Overall: 6.5/10

The eating area is small, but nothing to complain about, I suppose. I'd love to try all the omu rice variations. Pika's advice: For those who're interested, they serve roasted omu rice. Sounds interesting, eh?
