JPN: Hotel Yugaf Inn Bise (ホテルゆがふいん Bise) [Breakfast]

Nice thick porridge with moist salmon~

Hotel Yugaf Inn Bise (3*) is situated right in front of the Ocean Expo Park where the Churaumi Aquarium is. The room where my BFFs and I stayed in has not only Western-style beds, but also tatami floor with mattresses. 


Assorted Stuff

The porridge was delightfully thick, going well with the three-coloured pickles and dried seaweed. The vegetables for the salad were adequately fresh, while miso (Japanese fermented rice, barley and/or soybean) soup was pretty tasty. I also enjoyed the moist salmon.


Bread, Croissant & Soup

The croissant was quite buttery and slightly crispy, while the bread was soft. The corn soup was pretty creamy and sweet.


Fruits & Yogurt

While there were only pineapples and oranges available, I was pretty amazed at how sweet the former were. In case you're wondering, I added a bit of chocolate crisps on that dollop of plain yogurt.


Coffee & Orange Cordial Drink

The coffee was of moderate strength and aroma, while the orange cordial drink was a bit too dilute.

Taste: 7.5/10
Ambience: 6.5/10
Overall: 7/10

Pika's advice: As the restaurant only serves buffet breakfast, take note that there's a free shuttle service to Hotel Maihana, where you can soak yourself in a hot spring and have dinner, starting from 6.00pm. Alternatively, check out the amazing You Kitchen (ゆうキッチン) that's within walking distance from the hotel. From the balcony, I could see the beautiful ocean and Ie Island at a distance.

Where you can find the "world famous peameal bacon on a bun"! Originally opened in 1902, St. Lawrence Market is an iconic public market in Toronto, Canada, a culinary hotspot showcasing more than 120 merchants. The current building incorporates one that was once home to the first permanent city hall and jailhouse that operated from 1845 to 1899. During our visit, my BFF and I sampled some delights for breakfast.
