GEO: Orbi's Restaurant

Image
Delicious barbecued pork in private room! My BFF and I only had one chance to have a proper meal in Gori, Georgia, the town where Joseph Stalin was born. As we were going to catch the one and only train back to Tbilisi, we decided to eat somewhere nearer to the train station. Orbi's Restaurant was our choice for the afternoon.

GEO: Chela Funicular

Image
A taste of sausages from a separatist state~ When in Tbilisi, Georgia, don't forget to ride the modern funicular up to the plateau of Mt Mtatsminda, where there's an amusement park overlooking the city. After we were done walking around, we ended up at one of the restaurants at the upper station. Chela Funicular serves Georgian cuisine, specialising in meat dishes.

GEO: Lumier's Chimney Cake

Image
A sweet Czechian treat in Tbilisi! Still in Old Tbilisi, Georgia, I was so excited upon seeing a stall selling chimney cake. The alluring aroma pf the spit cake by Mr. Lumier from Czechia was too difficult to resist, so I dragged my BFF to share the calories.

GEO: Hotel City Centre [Breakfast]

Image
My first time having piping hot oatmeal with butter! It escaped my mind to write earlier on the breakfast offerings at Hotel City Centre (4*) in Tbilisi, Georgia, where my BFF and I stayed at for 4D3N. Besides buffet items, the hotel also offers a few cooked-to-order dishes printed on a small menu card that's placed on each table.

GEO: Samikitno

Image
Colourful vegetable balls, anyone? It's no surprise that I often plan my itinerary based on the eateries I want to visit. Samikitno is an exception, which I stumbled upon when my BFF and I were wandering about Old Tbilisi, Georgia. As we were already quite hungry, we decided to go ahead and give it a try.

GEO: KGB

Image
"Still watching you~" As history buffs, my BFF and I were excited to find a restaurant called KGB in Old Tbilisi. According to the Internet, it offers dishes with interesting names along the likes of Proletariat Pizza and Lenin's Favourite Dish . Unfortunately, I can tell you for sure that the restaurant has done away with those.

GEO: Tiflisi

Image
Ever thought of a marriage between beef and sturgeon? Welcome to Georgia! No, I don't mean the state in the USA, but a country in the Caucasus region. My BFF and I really had a great time exploring its unique cuisine during our 7D6N stay there. We had our very first meal at the highly recommended Tiflisi in Tbilisi, the capital city of the country.

BAH: Gulf Air [Economy, International, Short-Haul]

Image
First time having orzo above the sky! On our red-eye flight from Manama, Bahrain to Tbilisi, Georgia, my BFF and I were blessed with a newer Airbus 320 aircraft. Despite being sleepy, we wouldn't want to miss the meal service and the modern In-Flight Entertainment (IFE).

BAH: Dilmun Lounge @ Bahrain International Airport

Image
Choose the correct wrap(s) for yourself! Having read many reviews online about how good Dilmun Lounge at Bahrain International Airport is, my BFF and I'd planned to go to the airport early to give it a shot using our Priority Pass membership cards. Once we were done walking around the transit area, we immediately went to the lounge have a proper dinner.

BAH: Jasmi's

Image
A decent fast-food eatery in Bahrain! Jasmi's is a fast-food chain founded by Jassim Al Ameen in 1986. Born and bred in Bahrain, it plans to franchise its brand to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. At the point of writing, it has got more than twenty branches locally, as well as in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

BAH: Coco's

Image
Does coriander and lemon rice sound interesting to you? On the last day of our stay in Bahrain, my BFF and I walked to the trendy neighbourhood of Adliya again. Said to be one of the Kingdom's culinary gems, Coco's serves an extensive variety of international dishes at its rustic colonial building and garden.

BAH: Le Chocolat

Image
Don't forget to try the saffron pistachio cake and hot chocolate! My BFF and I hadn't planned to dine at Le Chocolat at all. It was when we were walking at the quiet Diplomatic Area in the evening that we decided to give the café a try, which is apparently recommended for its wood-fired pizzas.
