My BFF and I were going to fly again instead of spending time at Bangkok, Thailand for holiday. We made the conscientious decision to try out several airlines last December to the point of having to fly round and round. Bangkok Airways offers lounge access to all its passengers, so let's take a look at the snacks offered inside the boutique lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Pikachu was enjoying his breakfast at the lounge as he looked at the various aircraft through the glass panels.
The banana cake, first and foremost, was moist and highly aromatic. The banana muffin wasn't as fluffy, but it was good nonetheless. From the bowl of assorted cookies, I just randomly picked one of them.
The local delicacy of khao tom mod - sticky rice cooked with coconut milk and wrapped in banana leaves - was certainly a delight to have. Stuffed with sweet black beans, it was fragrant.
I love Thai rice crackers, so it was certainly nice to see them served free flow. The spinach puff was quite crunchy and had an adequate amount of filling, while the tuna sandwich was ordinary.
Apparently there's a popcorn machine installed inside the lounge. Who wouldn't love these crunchy, lightly salted goodness?
Iced Coffee & Orange Cordial Drink
I recall having three cups of the ice-cold Nescafe instant coffee that was so rich and sweet. I seriously couldn't stop drinking it, and thankfully I could still sleep pretty soundly that night. The orange cordial drink tasted very artificial though.
I wonder if there are any other airlines in the world offering free lounge access for Economy Class passengers? Pika's advice: Since the lounge access is free, you may as well drop by the lounge if you don't know what to do at the airport while waiting for your flight.
