Geisha coffee beans were sold above a thousand bucks back in 2017! Not related to Japanese culture at all, Panamanian Geisha coffee is renowned for its distinctive flavour profile. Intrigued by this unique coffee that's among the most expensive globally, my BFF and I decided to drop by one of the highly rated café in Casco Viejo, a historic district of Panama City, to have a taste of it.

SIN: Wild Honey

Image
Award-winning beef pastrami in 2018! I love restaurants that offer all-day breakfast menu. I've been to Wild Honey at Mandarin Gallery a few times, but only once at Scotts Square, the latter of which is the focus of today's blog post. Wild Honey was named the winner in two categories - Best Breakfast and Best Weekend Brunch - in the 2021 edition of Expat Living Readers' Choice Awards.

SIN: Salt Tapas and Bar {CLOSED}

Image
Fusion dishes with 'tahini' and the likes! UPDATE (26/11/2022):  The eatery has closed down. Salt Tapas and Bar is a spin-off of the Salt brand by Luke Mangan, an Australian celebrity chef, that prides itself in serving  tapas  (small savoury dishes typically served with drinks) with a twist. For one, expect Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences making their way to some of the dishes.

SIN: Charlie's

Image
Flavourful  sautéed  Spanish pork sausage with olives and gherkins! One of the many restaurants lining up Boat Quay, Charlie's offers a variety of  tapas  (small savoury dishes typically served with drinks), along with main courses for those looking for more than small bites. The restaurant-cum-bar is vegetarian friendly.

SIN: Milagro Spanish Restaurant {CLOSED}

Image
Truly hearty chicken stew with a touch of white wine! UPDATE (02/11/2019):  The restaurant has closed down. August is here! After visiting the cool Library@Orchard for the first time, my BFF and I walked our way to Orchard Central. We stumbled upon Milagro Spanish Restaurant, which offers quite an extensive food items from various regions of the country.

SIN: Cocotto

Image
Have you ever tried chicken ajillo before? Cocotto is an eatery-cum-bar that offers an eclectic mix of Japanese-inspired cuisine and other international fares, some of which are served in French style pots. It's located within walking distance from either Telok Ayer or Raffles Place MRT station.

SIN: Parrilla {CLOSED}

Image
Mediocre Spanish food, but nice ginger mojito~ UPDATE (14/06/2020):  The restaurant has closed down. Who doesn't love to get treated to a restaurant meal once in a while. After the simple birthday celebration I had in Millenia Walk in September, at Tart Blanc to be exact, I found myself back at the shopping mall I hardly visit for a quiet dinner. Parrilla offers Spanish cuisine.

SIN: Sixty40 {CLOSED}

Image
D.Y.P. (Design Your Palate) Platter! UPDATE (14/03/2021):  The restaurant has closed down. When I was still studying at NUS as an undergraduate, I enjoyed going down to Rochester Park, a stretch of road not too far from Buona Vista MRT station with many eateries offering not only good food, but also cosy ambience. As I'm now working nearby, I had a chance to drop by the area and had a quiet dinner at one of the restaurants there, namely Sixty40.

SIN: Vida Vino {CLOSED}

Image
Let's gamble: will you get a spicy padron pepper? UPDATE (02/11/2019):  The restaurant has closed down. As we continued to explore Keong Saik Road, Pasta Inc. and Potato Head Folk being two restaurants we've reviewed previously, we found a quiet Spanish eatery in the early evening of Friday. Literally meaning 'Wine Life', Vida Vino serves an eclectic range of tapas  (small savoury dishes typically served with drinks), as well as a few main courses and dessert items.

FRA: Chez Laura

Image
Yummylicious garlic mussels! Alright, it's time to review a proper meal I had in Marseille. There are simply too many eateries in Vieux Port, and that day we were quite confused which restaurant should we go to. In the end we chose Chez Laura, and one of the reasons was that the waitress outside could actually respond to us in English haha... Anyway, the restaurant offers a value-for-money  Set Meal  priced at  €15.00 ( ~S$26.30 ) which includes appetiser, main course and dessert. Hmm, since all of us ordered different dishes, I'll just select a few and write about them here.
