SIN: Place to R.E.A.D

Virgin experience with squid stuffed with feta cheese! Situated along the bustling Prinsep Street near PoMo, Place to R.E.A.D isn't a restaurant where you can find books to read while waiting for your food to come, but it's simply a place to 'Relax, Eat and Drink'. It boasts a selection of Greek cuisine, as well as fusion dishes.

SIN: Salt Tapas and Bar {CLOSED}

Fusion dishes with 'tahini' and the likes! UPDATE (26/11/2022):  The eatery has closed down. Salt Tapas and Bar is a spin-off of the Salt brand by Luke Mangan, an Australian celebrity chef, that prides itself in serving  tapas  (small savoury dishes typically served with drinks) with a twist. For one, expect Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences making their way to some of the dishes.

Where Mediterranean dishes meet (and beat) French... :P UPDATE (26/05/2019):  The restaurant has closed down. Located on the first floor of V Hotel Bencoolen, which vicinity is currently undergoing construction of the future Downtown Line MRT station, Le Bistrot de l'Olive serves not only French food, but also Mediterranean cuisine. It's a  Halal  certified restaurant.

A delicious, huge pizza slice with sausages, olives and jalapenos! Welcome to Istanbul, Turkey! After being awake for as long as I could remember, all I needed was a bed for me to sleep well. Before going to the nearby airport hotel, I quickly grabbed an early dinner. As you can see, it wasn't a full-fledged Turkish meal, though there were elements of it. :P

SIN: 1 Market by Chef Wan {CLOSED}

Halal Asian buffet with pretty good chicken satay! UPDATE (20/08/2016):  The restaurant has closed down. The opening of 1 Market by Chef Wan, which offers a gastronomic spread of Asian cuisine, has added to the list of  Halal  certified buffet restaurants in the country. Have you heard of him before? I've got to know more about the Malaysian celebrity chef, who was actually born in Singapore, after watching his show - East Bites West - in the National Geographic Channel.
