Say yes to free-flow almond pudding! Hotel Sunroute Sopra Kobe (3*), the last hotel where my BFFs and I stayed at in Japan in December 2019, is located near Boeki Centre train station in the city renowned for its high quality beef. No, the hotel doesn't serve beef for breakfast, but prides itself in dishing out healthy items for its guests to enjoy.

JPN: Kineya (杵屋)

Cold 'udon' in winter? Why not? In a blink of an eye, it was soon time to say goodbye to Kyushu, Japan. Before going to Nagasaki Airport by bus, my BFFs and I had a quick lunch at Kineya located on the fifth floor of Amu Plaza that's directly connected to Nagasaki railway station. The restaurant prides itself in its handmade  udon  (Japanese wheat-flour noodle).

JPN: Shikairou (四海樓)

The birthplace of 'champon'! Nagasaki, Japan was one of the few port cities that were opened to foreign trade under the Tokugawa Shogunate from the 17th to the 19th century.  Champon  is a soupy noodle dish originating from the region, which was invented by Chin Heijun who migrated from Fujian, China to establish Shikairou in 1899.

JPN: Kaiten Sushi Jigemon (回転寿司 じげもん)

Super fresh and sweet shrimps! No trip to Japan would be complete without going to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. After visiting Peace Park in Nagasaki, my BFFs and I walked south down the main road to Nagasaki Seiyokan (lit. Western Style Building), a shopping mall near Atomic Bomb Museum tram stop. Kaiten Sushi Jigemon is located on the second floor of the building.
