Medium-rare filet mignon done right! There's always a quiet sense of anticipation when it comes to Business Class meals, isn't it? For the 8-hour journey with Philippine Airlines PR211 from the capital city to Sydney, Australia, two meals are served: supper and breakfast. It was my first long-haul flight with flag carrier of the Pearl of the Orient Seas.

Where the dried mango slices took the crown~ Happy New Year 2026! May this year bring good health, renewed joy and many blessings to all of us. To kick off the year, let's start with an airline meal feature on Philippine Airlines. I had the chance to fly from Singapore to Manila, which was the first leg of a journey that would eventually take me to Down Under.

Ever had a cocktail that's only served on the ground before take-off? It was a short hop home from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam aboard our flag carrier. As Book the Cook service isn't available on any Singapore Airlines flights departing from Vietnam, let's delve into the in-flight menu of the day prepared by the catering partner at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

Gelée glimmers, sky-high shimmers~ It was my first Business Class experience with ANA, flying from Narita International Airport to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Passengers could choose between a Japanese or Western set menu for dinner, followed by a variety of lighter dishes and snacks available that can be ordered at any time throughout the flight.

Mouth-watering 'buta kakuni' onboard! Happy New Year, everyone! Let's begin the year with a series of posts on my trip to Nagoya and nearby regions in Japan. My journey began with a smooth flight from Singapore to Narita International Airport aboard Japan Airlines JL712 before taking a domestic flight. What were served onboard?

Surprisingly rich chocolate mousse! Here's the last post to wrap up the travel to the Americas. After travelling in the Business Class cabin from Panama City, it was time to head to the back of the plane for the next leg of the journey from Istanbul, Turkey to Singapore. Despite the more modest comfort, the food wasn't too shabby.

Not the best experience, but I love the  strawberry smoothie ! Following the brief stop at Panama City, my BFF and I continued our journey on Turkish Airlines TK800 to Istanbul, Turkey. The flight, lasting just over half a day, included two meal services - dinner and breakfast. One thing I completely forgot to do was to check the galley to see if there were any snacks available.

Trio of snacks to kickstart your appetite! Turkish Airlines TK800 operates from Bogota, Colombia, to Istanbul, Turkey with a brief stop at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City. In this first segment, let’s take a look at the light refreshment served during the short hop to Panama City, which lasted approximately an hour and 40 minutes.

Porridge to warm the body and soul onboard! Following a brief layover of less than two hours at Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan, it was time to continue our journey with EVA Air BR36 bound for Toronto, Canada. Please excuse the slightly odd colors in the photos below as I did my best to reduce the extreme yellow hue using my rudimentary skills in Adobe Photoshop.

How about indulging in some tea-infused menu onboard? Let's start our trip to the Americas with an exploration of the in-flight food and beverages onboard EVA Air BR226 from Singapore to Taipei, Taiwan. Photos in the coming posts remain in a square format because, as mentioned earlier, I lost most of my photos and the only ones I've got left are those I've shared on my Instagram.

Lovely 'ayam kalio' for brunch! We've finally come to the last post regarding my family trip to the Kansai region of Japan. We boarded Malaysia Airlines MH53 from Osaka, Japan to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and subsequently connecting to Singapore. For the 7-hour flight in Economy Class, we were treated to brunch and refreshment.

Tasty beef lasagna by Brahim's Food Services, but no more... After so long, I finally managed to have a family trip again in December 2022 with Japan as the destination. Unfortunately, just like the last part of my Azerbaijan travel series, I've lost all photos during this trip, save for the ones that I managed to post to my Instagram feed. Let's take a look at what I had onboard Malaysia Airlines MH52 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Osaka, Japan.

Yummy yam and coconut cake for dessert! After the delectable meals onboard Austrian Airlines OS25 , let's take a look at the catering onboard Thai Airways TG409 in the Economy Class from Bangkok, Thailand to Singapore. Alas, I lost all photos that I took during the flight, so I'm borrowing those taken by my BFF to feature here. This post shall finally wrap up my Azerbaijan travel series.

Welcome to the Vienna Coffee House above the clouds! My virgin experience with Austrian Airlines was in the Business Class cabin, thanks to miles redemption. My BFF and I had a 10-hour flight from Vienna, Austria to Bangkok, Thailand, in which I tasted one of the best dessert wines in life. It was probably my first time having fried chicken above 35,000 feet.

Surprisingly no local dishes served onboard... After the sumptuous meal at the flagship  Turkish Airlines Lounge , it was time for my BFF and I to fly with the flag carrier of Turkey, or should I say Turkiye now, from Istanbul to Vienna without intending to do a trip to Austria at all. We had an early dinner during the flight that was slightly more than two hours.

Eat breakfast like a king, even in Economy Class! The time for my BFF and I to leave Azerbaijan finally came. Once again, we flew with the country's flag carrier to Istanbul, Turkey before we took the long route home. We've seen in the previous post on the generous lunch serving onboard J2 76. What about breakfast, you ask? The proof is in the picture below.

Triple cheese in Economy Class! Has anyone flown Azerbaijan Airlines before? From my personal experience, it's possibly the most generous airline in terms of food and beverages in the Economy Class. My BFF and I had filling lunch when we flew from Istanbul, Turkey to Baku, the capital city of the nation that was once part of the Soviet Union.

Delicious Indonesian 'nasi uduk' with chili prawns! The middle of this year saw me doing a long-haul flight in the Premium Economy Class cabin of Singapore Airlines' Airbus 350-900 aircraft for the first time. In fact, it was also my first time flying directly to Istanbul, Turkey from Singapore. In general, I enjoyed the two meal services: supper and breakfast.

Surely my first time having three bottles of 'sake' onboard! At the end of our shortest trip ever to Tokyo, Japan, my BFF and I flew with Japan Airlines in the Business Class from Narita International Airport to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Without a doubt, we were really excited to try the carefully curated dishes by the chefs of two renowned restaurants in Tokyo: Kurogi and L'Effervescence.

Plot twist: the non-Japanese dishes were more delicious! Prior to that trip to Tokyo, Japan last year in a bid to catch early-blooming sakura (lit. cherry blossom), I'd never stepped into Haneda Airport. The opportunity came when I redeemed some miles to fly in style with Japan Airlines. After relaxing at British Airways Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 1, my BFF and I boarded the aircraft at 10.00pm.
