HKG: Hong Kong Airlines HX682 & HX681 (Economy)
Savoury piping hot bun as a snack!
As mentioned last month, we went to Okinawa, Japan via HK. As usual, I flew with Singapore Airlines to HK. Following which, it was my first time flying with Hong Kong Airlines that was established in 2006. Well, this review shall kickstart another series of overseas meals. :)
HX682 Meal
Luncheon Meat Bun - Taste: 7.5/10
The piping hot bun served during the flight out of HK was soft and fluffy, while the serving of the luncheon meat was adequate.
Beverages
On top of the cup of water given to each passenger, I requested for a cup of green tea. I don't recall seeing alcoholic beverages served onboard.
HX681 Meal
Minced Meat Bun - Taste: 7.5/10
During the flight into HK, a bun filled with minced meat was given out to every passenger. Equally soft to the bun mentioned earlier, it was pretty savoury.
Beverages
A cup of apple juice was what I ordered to quench my thirst.
Melon's Rating
Taste: 7.5/10
Ambience: 7/10
Service: 7/10
Overall: 7/10
While each seat isn't equipped with a personal TV screen, you can access the IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) via WiFi using your own device. Pika's advice: Since both of the buns that I had contain pork, do remember to indicate your meal preference upon booking if you dislike or can't take pork.
