SIN: Full of Crab {CLOSED}
If you're grouchy, you gotta pay more! :P
UPDATE (29/07/2018): The eatery has closed down.
Situated along the bustling East Coast Road (uhm, it kinda reminds me of the unhappy times of working in the previous company near there), Full of Crab is the place to get messy with all the yummy catches of the sea, swimming in a sea of robust sauce. Just like most, if not all, crab houses, the no-utensils policy is in place here.

Stepping into the sea-themed eatery that also houses a miniature of a lighthouse, somehow I felt like I was transported to Bikini Bottom from the SpongeBob SquarePants series, as if I was dining at Krusty Krabs owned by the grumpy Mr. Krabs. Interestingly, there is a sign at the counter that says something along this line: additional charge will be imposed on grouchy customers. Haha...
Fish Line Sticks
Taste: 8.5/10
Upon receiving the menu card from one of the young servers, my BFF and I were served their signature snack gratis. Mildly seasoned with just the right touch of sweetness on the tongue, the fish-based sticks would snap at even the slightest force exerted by the teeth. What a delightful texture!
Twiggy Fries S$6.50
Taste: 8.5/10
I believe many of you have tried curly fries before. As appropriately named, being twiggy instead of curly, the crispy fries had pretty much a similar nice flavour as the former. Well, I have to admit that I have a weak throat, and indeed I had a sore throat the following day for gobbling too much of them. Pika's advice: For those of you who like to gulp on beer, people say the fries go really well with your drink.
Captain's Choice Seasonal Price
Broccoli +S$1.00
Taste: 8/10
The S$98.00 combo was wrapped within a thick and transparent plastic bag, brought by the server using a bucket. As soon as the bag was opened, a heady aroma wafted into the air, with two pounds of Sri Lankan crabs and a pound of prawns being revealed in their glory. The crabs were sweet and juicy, while the prawns could be more succulent. For the sauce, we opted for the combination of cajun spices and garlic butter of medium spiciness, which apparently was kinda salty, but bearable enough for dipping the meat into it. The combo came with a choice of corns or baby potatoes, and we chose the former. We also requested for broccoli to be thrown into the good mess for added vitamins and minerals.
Melon's Rating
Taste: 8/10
Ambience: 7/10
Service: 7.5/10
Overall: 7.5/10
Should the sauce for the seafood be slightly less salty, it'd have been way better. Anyway, notice the creatively done red crabs on the wall in the picture below.
