Fried chicken worth trying! Internet connection seems pretty reliable today, and so I'll write a quick review of a restaurant in Jakarta which offers authentic Indonesian, in particular, Javanese cuisine. However, to be honest, I'm not really a big fan of Indonesian food.

No-frills Indonesian style noodle!  UPDATE (06/01/2020):  The eatery has closed down. I'm going to do a review on Indonesian style noodle again. I chanced upon this small eatery, flooded with office people during lunchtime. when I went to United Square. Indeed, it has been a while since I went to this mall. The last time was in 2008 on the Ben and Jerry's Free Cone Day haha...

Delicious Halal noodles and rice dishes! Alright, this is going to be my first post on the series of restaurants based in Indonesia. As I've mentioned in my Facebook status two days ago, I'll begin with the eatery which I've visited, at least, one hundred times in my life. Everytime I go back to Indonesia, I'll drop by this eatery once (or twice).

Sinful post-result indulgence! UPDATE (20/8/2014):  The establishment has closed down. I've just received my NUS exam results for Academic Year 2011/2012 Semester 2, and I'm glad that I've improved! To celebrate, I went out with friends for lunch and to get our dose of milkshake and ice cream after submitting my passport to the French Embassy for visa purposes. I've seen in HungryGoWhere that people have only reviewed the more common flavours (i.e. vanilla, chocolate, etc.) from Once Upon a Milkshake (OUAM), so today I tried the more unusual flavours!

Angelic sweetness of roasted duck! Dian Xiao Er is a famous Chinese eatery that boasts its duck creations. Even a chef from Indonesia, Enita Sriyana, who's hosting the long-lasting cooking show called  Santapan Nusantara (lit. cuisine of the archipelago), went to Singapore and featured this restaurant in one of the episodes. Anyway, this restaurant has been one of my favourite places to get my fix of heavenly duck. I usually order the Family Set for 2 pax that costs S$38.00 . The set includes Soup of the Day , Duck Roasted with Angelica Herb , Mongolian Spare Ribs or  Dong Po Pork , as well as  Baby Kailan with Salted Fish and Lime .

"Asian Tasting Sausages" :P UPDATE (26/11/2014): I'd been thinking of giving the sausages another try before I departed for Hanoi, Vietnam the other day, and eventually discovered that the kiosk at Changi Aiport has closed down. I know that there's also a kiosk at AMK Hub. I've finally got a bit of time to spare tonight, and so I shall update this blog (finally!) with something 'light'. I've seen GoGo Franks outlets around Singapore for quite some time, but I just tried their delightful sausages at Changi Airport before I went back home last week.

SIN: Thai Pan Restaurant

How good is the famous butter squid? Thai Pan - a hidden gem. Recently, I dropped by the restaurant located at Civil Service Club @ Changi. There's another branch is at Mandarin Gardens Condominium. Pardon me for the low quality of the pictures this time round. My 1.3 megapixel camera phone can't give crystal clear pictures under medium to low light intensity.
