GEO: Lumier's Chimney Cake

A sweet Czechian treat in Tbilisi!

Still in Old Tbilisi, Georgia, I was so excited upon seeing a stall selling chimney cake. The alluring aroma pf the spit cake by Mr. Lumier from Czechia was too difficult to resist, so I dragged my BFF to share the calories.

Would you like to make a guess what was in the cup?

Chimney Cake (Cinnamon Sugar) GEL 5.00 (~S$2.60)
Taste: 9/10

I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I've had chimney cake. That was probably the best thus far. The dough was neither too thin nor overly thick, brushed with enough melted butter. The cinnamon sugar was truly fragrant. Pika's advice: If you're not a fan of cinnamon sugar, you may want to consider other toppings: vanilla sugar, grated coconut or Nutella.

Glintwein GEL 4.00 (~S$2.10)
Taste: 9/10

For the uninitiated, glintwein is red wine infused with spices, such as cinnamon, cloves and star aniseed. Drinking a warm cup of it at 8 degree Celsius was such a pleasure. The heady aroma of spices calmed my body and soul.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 9/10

Do support Mr. Lumier! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
