SIN: Boss BarBQ {CLOSED}

Image
Overrated BBQ chicken? UPDATE (11/08/2016):  The restaurant has closed down. It's been a while since I last dined at a Korean eatery. Boss BarBQ is said to be the largest chain of BBQ restaurants in South Korea, and apparently the branch here at Clarke Quay is the very first overseas branch. Combining a restaurant and a bar under one roof, diners can choose to whether have a full meal or chill by ordering some snacks and drinks (or both).

SIN: Golden Rooster

Image
Take your pick: BBQ or fried chicken? I've heard that Golden Rooster chicken dishes were everyone's favourite. I'm not sure if that's a hyperbole, but all I can say is that their dishes weren't bad. However, over the years, they've raised their prices somewhat significantly. When I first tried their rice with half BBQ chicken, it was S$4.50 . For the same portion, expect to take out  S$5.30  from your wallet now.

SIN: Manhattan Fish Market

Image
Fried whole barramundi with fiery chili, anyone? There was a time when I used to go to Manhattan Fish Market with my school friends to enjoy the seafood platters. Even though I should be able to finish a platter by myself, I suppose it'd be wise for me not to order one when I'm alone, as if I'm a depressed individual who's going to gorge on anything and everything. Haha...

SIN: Sun with Moon

Image
Heavenly, fun-to-gorge matcha parfait! Sun with Moon is one of my most favourite restaurants in Singapore. Serving authentic Tokyo cuisine on the third floor of Wheelock Place, Orchard Road, it has never failed to carve a smile on my face whenever I dine there. Most of the time, I make reservation beforehand to get one of the sofa seats away from the crowd.

SIN: Genki Sushi

Image
A healthy dose of chirashi don! A few years ago, Genki Sushi made its first appearance in Singapore. However, the constant bad reviews and complaints it received regarding the quality of the food served resulted in its eventual downfall. Today, however, it has managed to make a victorious comeback, incorporating the use of technology to create a seamless experience between ordering food items from iPad and getting them delivered to each individual table using mini cars.
