Decent continental breakfast with free items in the room! UPDATE (06/03/2020):  The hotel has been rebranded to Mojo Nomad Aberdeen Harbour by Ovolo. I chose to stay at Ovolo Hotel (4*) in Aberdeen due to its proximity to Jumbo Kingdom where I dined in Dragon Court the previous day. For a 4* hotel, it may appear to be small, but I truly enjoyed the comfort it's got to offer. The spread of the continental buffet breakfast is somewhat limited though.

Delectable garoupa fillet in spicy soup in such a majestic restaurant! I've always had the intention to dine at one of the floating restaurants in Jumbo Kingdom. While I've seen reviews about their decent, but overpriced food with no Michelin stars at all, I thought it'd be a waste not to pay a visit, especially since the hotel I was staying in is located just opposite the Aberdeen Promenade where you can take a free shuttle to Jumbo Kingdom. Dragon Court on the second floor was the choice for the night.

Award-winning noodles in soup with fresh shrimp wanton! On the third day of the short trip down the memory lane to HK, I decided to have lunch at a restaurant I missed during my student exchange days. Still listed this year under the Bib Gourmand category of the 2014 Michelin Guide, it has been awarded the Best of the Best Culinary Award - Gold with Distinction Award from the Hong Kong Tourism Board for its wanton noodles.

Beat the hot weather with Mobile Softee! Prior to having that awesome skewered large intestines from Duo Bao Mei Shi (多寶美食 ) at Temple Street, I actually had had dinner at One Dim Sum . However, my stomach was easily emptied due to the long walk around Kowloon. As the Avenue of Stars was our final stop for the day, I couldn't help but drop by the Mobile Softee not too far away from Starbucks Coffee for an icy cold treat. 

Fried large intestines to die for! To me, a trip to HK isn't complete without gorging on my favourite deep-fried large intestines. There are several places selling that, but the only one that I can remember is the stall at Temple Street Night Market, Jordan. Since I can't read the Chinese characters in Cantonese, I just put the Mandarin Romanisation of it.

Fulfilling seafood lunch with luscious sweet and sour pork! After the energy-draining trek at Ma On Shan (lit. horse saddle mountain), I ended up at Sai Kung, a place where one is fascinated by the view of the sea and the outlying islands nearby, as well as the rows of seafood restaurants boasting their catches in huge aquariums. I'd had already planned to have lunch at Chuen Kee Seafood Restaurant.

Beef burger that's similar to Burger King's... :P Since today marks the start of the FIFA World Cup 2014, I shall take a break from writing reviews of HK eateries in order to write about the limited edition items offered by McDonald's in Singapore. Are you ready, guys?

Fluffy, velvety scrambled eggs to die for! The plan for the second day in HK was to go for a trek at Ma On Shan (lit. horse saddle mountain). Despite the rain, I still completed one of the trails. To prepare for that, I had a quick breakfast at Australia Dairy Company; 'The Curious Case of a Shop Name', I'd say, since this eatery has nothing to do with Australia. Let's start with the  Breakfast Set  priced at   HK$28.00 (~S$4.50) .

International cuisine with a stunning view! The hot weather that was bogging me down on the first day spurred me to go to Victoria Peak again after two years. Nothing much has changed, it seems, except that  Marion Crepês was no longer there; I was initially planning to grab one. Anyway, I had my dinner at Café Deco, one of the restaurants offering a fantastic view up there.

A refreshing change of menu? There was a time when I wanted to write a review on quite a few meals served by Scoot, a low-cost subsidiary airline of Singapore Airlines. Unfortunately, I'd forgotten my intention all along until Scoot revamped its menu, which has rendered some of the things I tried obsolete. Well, for our outbound flight to HK, I ordered the Premium Selection meal, while my BFF ordered something from a variety of hot meals.
