SIN: Andersen's Ice Cream

Awesome mint chocolate chip ice cream to beat the hot weather!

Today's short and sweet (pun intended) review is on an ice cream brand that many people often jokingly refer to as my own establishment, even though my surname isn't spelled that way. I'm not going to bore you with its history, but Andersen's Ice Cream first came to the shores of Singapore in 1989.

Regular Ice Cream Cone (Double Scoops) S$7.50
Fruits of the ForestTaste: 8/10
Mint Chocolate Chip - Taste: 9/10

Slightly tart, but predominantly sweet, the mixed berries flavour was good, but not particularly unique when compared to those found in their competitors. The mint flavour, on the other hand, was excellent due to the addictively cool and creamy sensations it imparted, partnered with lots of chocolate chips.

Rum and RaisinTaste: 8.5/10
Banana FudgeTaste: 8.5/10

The alcoholic flavour could definitely use more run, but I wasn't complaining as it was aromatic indeed, studded with an adequate amount of raisins. The banana flavour was equally fragrant, but it didn't really come with a ripple of chocolate fudge as described in the website.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 8.5/10

Good and affordable, New Zealand Natural has nailed it. I shall try other flavours soon when I've recovered from this annoying flu. Pika's advice: If you're craving for chocolate fondue, Andersen's Ice Cream have it.
