TRY: Turkish Airlines [Economy, Domestic, Short-Haul]
A substantial picnic box for an hour flight!
I purposely didn't buy a return ticket on Atlas Global as I'd wanted to give Turkish Airlines a try for the first time in my life. For an hour flight, I was amazed by the offerings. Flights of the same duration from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur (and vice versa) by Singapore Airlines or Malaysia Airlines only offer peanuts and drinks in the economy class.
TK Meal
Chicken Sandwich - Taste: 8/10
Even though it looked ordinary, the chicken sandwich was pretty good. The chicken breast was quite moist, accompanied by lettuce, tomato and pickled cucumber.
Kidney Beans in Olive Oil - Taste: 8/10
The kidney beans were bathing in a light tomato sauce with olive oil. They certainly tasted nicer than those that came straight from cans.
Homemade Almond Cake - Taste: 8/10
The almond cake was adequately airy and fragrant, topped with almond bits for an added crunch.
Beverages
No peach juice nor grape juice was at sight, so I requested for a cup of chilled orange juice to quench my thirst.
Melon's Rating
Taste: 8/10
Ambience: 7/10
Service: 7.5/10
Overall: 7.5/10
It was an enjoyable flight, but too short for my liking. Haha... Pika's advice: I wonder what do they serve in the business class for such a short flight? Perhaps you may want to find it out.
