TWN: Li-Wu Hotel (立霧客棧) [Breakfast]
Simple, yet homely breakfast of porridge before trekking!
My BFF and I decided to stay at Li-Wu Hotel for 3D2N as it's located within walking distance from the entrance of Taroko National Park. We enjoyed the simple breakfast prepared by the friendly old lady who's the mother of the owner of the accommodation.
Nothing could beat a piping hot bowl of smooth porridge with pork floss that was enjoyably sweet and not too dry. I also enjoyed the beancurd strips that were braised well, as well as the Chinese style scrambled eggs with chives.

Porridge & Side Dishes
Nothing could beat a piping hot bowl of smooth porridge with pork floss that was enjoyably sweet and not too dry. I also enjoyed the beancurd strips that were braised well, as well as the Chinese style scrambled eggs with chives.
Steamed Bun & Toast
The steamed bun was mildly sweet, but it wasn't as moist and pillowy as expected. For those not accustomed to Chinese breakfast, there's toast with butter and strawberry jam.
Coffee
The coffee wasn't particularly memorable, but it was certainly better than nothing. The hotel provides creamer from UCC.
Melon's Rating
Taste: 7.5/10
Ambience: 7/10
Overall: 7/10
Pika's advice: The hotel doubles as an eatery for lunch and dinner, serving items such as noodle and curry rice for lunch if you're interested. After enjoying our breakfast, we proceeded to check-out and went straight to Taipei Main Station.
