FIN: Ravintola Zetor
Taking pride in being a "110% Finnish restaurant"~
Before leaving Helsinki, Finland, my BFF and I had our last dinner at Ravintola Zetor near Helsinki Central Station. Serving classic Finnish dishes, the restaurant was declared open on the country's 74th anniversary on 6 December 1991. I suspect it's the only restaurant in the world with its menu written in 21 different languages.
Pikachu was rather sad that he'd be leaving Europe soon.

Bread
The rye bread, which I decided to have with salmon soup, was really crunchy.
Gloaty Goat €9.30 (~S$14.60)
Taste: 7.5/10
Quite a catchy name with alliteration for an appetiser, no? It's not cheap for sure, but the crêpe filled with goat cheese and finely chopped spinach was adequately savoury for my liking. It was served with pickled julienned beetroots and zucchinis that were refreshingly tangy.
Salmon Soup €11.40 (~S$17.90)
Taste: 8/10
The menu states that the creamy salmon soup is lactose and gluten-free. It was light, yet rich enough for my liking, but I feel that the one served at Ravintola Sea Horse was better. Anyway, I noticed that there were more potatoes than salmon chunks. Pika's advice: You can have it as a main course for €18.40 (~S$17.90).
Mummy's Boy's Meatballs €18.30 (~S$28.70)
Taste: 8/10
Four pieces of medium-sized beef meatballs were presented on the plate, along with mashed potatoes that were milky and velvety. The minced beef balls were undoubtedly tender, but I've had juicier ones elsewhere. I really enjoyed the creamy pepper sauce that was tantalising to the taste buds.
Mustikkakukko €8.80 (~S$13.80)
Taste: 8/10
Originating from the Savo region of Finland, mustikakkukko is a rye-crusted bilberry pie traditionally eaten with whipped cream. Baked in a tin cup, Zetor's version was enjoyable as it was mildly sweet with a hint of sour. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with strawberry, mint leaves and a Finnish flag.
Melon's Rating
Taste: 8/10
Ambience: 8/10
Service: 7/10
Overall: 7.5/10
Do take some time looking at the menu, spotting other interestingly named dishes, such as Wish You Fish! and The Weather May Change, But Vendace Stays the Same.
