Mega San Maki S$9.90
Taste: 8.5/10
Customised ingredients: unagi (Japanese freshwater eel), prawn roe, turkey bacon bits, cold couscous, fried onion, avocado, parmesan cheese and asian pesto sauce. The marriage between the melt-in-the-mouth eel and the creamy avocado was stunning, finished with the herb-based sauce which had a nice garlicky aroma. On the other hand, the Japanese rice could be vinegared better and bound tighter. Pika's advice: For a healthier choice, you can opt for brown rice instead of the usual short-grain rice.
Big San Salad S$9.90
Taste: 6/10
Customised ingredients: cold soba (Japanese buckwheat noodle), steamed shrimps, sweet egg omelette silken tofu, grilled zucchini, roasted baby potatoes, caramelised sweet potatoes, bonito flakes and yuzu (a species of aromatic Asiatic citron) honey vinaigrette. I made a mistake for the salad as it ended up being a tad too sweet for my liking. The soba wasn't springy, but the steamed shrimps were succulent.
Tempura Enoki Mushrooms S$3.90
Taste: 7.5/10
As my mouth still felt itchy, I decided to give the fried enoki mushrooms a try. While it was highly crispy, it was pretty greasy as well. Along with the order was a cup of smoky cheddar cheese dip which lived up to its name, adding to the enjoyment of the snack.

Taste: 7.5/10
Ambience: 3.5/10
Overall: 5.5/10
Most people took away their orders as the small, squeezy eatery only has four chairs. Nevertheless, I gobbled my food there as I wanted to have them fresh.
