SIN: Triple O's

Serving juicy beef burgers since 1928 in Canada!

Hailing from Vancouver, Canada even before even before the Golden Arches came into the fast food scene, Triple O's has had a total of more than 60 outlets to date throughout the maple country and Asia. Boasting its 100% Canadian beef patties with secret sauce, thick-cut fries and hand-scooped milkshakes, the outlet at Orchard Road is probably one of the few in Singapore to offer poutine (Canadian fries served with brown sauce and cheese curds).

Mushroom Burger S$9.90
Taste: 8.5/10

Stacked on top of a juicy and tender beef patty were earthy mushrooms with all the natural sweetness. While the burger bun was light and airy, I found the signature dill pickle to be ordinary, for its sour taste was monotonous.

Combo Up +S$3.00
Fries - Taste: 8/10

If you wish, you can top up S$3.00 for a cup of soda and fries. As promised, the fries were thick without being greasy. However, I'd love them to be more crispy. My BFF has an undying love for Fanta Orange that he can't live without it. LOL...

Bacon Cheese Burger S$9.90
Taste: 8.5/10

On hindsight, I should've ordered a non-beef variant to get a different taste. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the bacon which was really crispy and flavourful. The weird-looking cheese wasn't that cheesy though.

Onion Rings S$2.50
Taste: 8/10

The onion rings were nicely breaded and deep-fried till light brown in colour. While it was good, I've definitely had better ones which onions were caramelised to a greater extent.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 8/10
Ambience: 8/10
Overall: 8/10

I must say that the hamburgers were pretty solid, prompting me to come back next time. Pika's advice: I didn't try the poutine, so you may want to taste it for yourself! I heard that some people found them to be kinda salty though.
