LAO: Café @ Luang Prabang International Airport
Enjoing pretty good, but oily stir-fried pork before flying off~
It was almost time to say goodbye to Luang Prabang, Laos, although I wasn't ready to do so. As my BFF and I still had a few notes of the local currency, we decided to spend them all at the nameless café that can be found right after passing through the security screening area.
Lao Steak (Pork) LAK 25,000 (~S$4.35)
Taste: 7.5/10
We were curious about the steak on the menu, so we decided to share it between us. It turned out to be stir-fried pork. It'd be great if we could have a bowl of rice, but anyway, the meat was quite tender and flavourful. However, the dish was a tad too oily. Pika's advice: For the same price, you can opt for chicken or beef instead.
Custard Bun LAK 10,000 (~S$1.75)
Taste: 7/10
For something sweet, we tried one of the buns that was adequately fluffy. The custard filling was sweet and milky enough for my liking, although it could be runnier. Its amount certainly didn't disappoint though.
Milk Tea (Hot) LAK 10,000 (~S$1.75)
Taste: 4.5/10
The bold-coloured milk tea was somewhat aromatic, but it was way too sweet as the server put an excessive amount of sweet condensed milk at the bottom of the cup. I still finished it though without stirring it too much.

Luang Prabang is such a lovely destination to visit for those who enjoy serenity and cultural heritage. To end today's entry, here's a picture of the vista taken from atop Mount Phousi.
