NZL: Hiakai Café

Such a hearty chicken and beef burger for lunch! Te Puia is one of Rotorua's must-visit attractions, renowned for its spectacular geothermal landscapes and the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute. Before exploring everything the site had to offer, my travel buddy and I stopped for a quick lunch at Hiakai Café, a casual open-air courtyard eatery located within Te Puia itself.

HKG: Po Lin Monastery Vegetarian Kitchen

Vegetarian treat after climbing up to the Big Buddha! I just found the lines from the website to be pretty interesting: "After a visit to the Big Buddha and having climbed up and down the long flight of stone steps, you will be forgiven for feeling a bit weak and sore in the legs. Nothing would beat a lull and a cup of tea in the monastery’s vegetarian kitchen and enjoy the special delicacy of vegetarian dishes of the monastery." :)

AZE: Imereti Georgian House

A happy reunion with Georgian food! Ever since I came back from my trip to Georgia in 2018, I've been missing the unique cuisine, occasionally dreaming about it. As I knew I'd finally be back to the Caucasus region, albeit to a neighbouring country, I couldn't contain my excitement of finding a Georgian restaurant. Imereti Georgian House is located not far from Baku's Fountain Square.
