SIN: JAG Wine
Yummy grilled chicken thigh to go with white wine if you fancy!
Located along East Coast Road, JAG Wine houses both a boutique wine distributor and a gourmet restaurant. In case you're wondering what does JAG stand for, it's actually the combination of the initials of the owners - Jimmy, Alan and Guna - long time friends who came together to bring JAG Wine to fruition on 13 April 2015.
Ironically, I wasn't in the mood for a drink that evening. I went there for dinner and bought a bottle of red wine home.

Beef Bites S$12.00
Taste: 8/10
Even though I wasn't drinking, I still wanted to try one of the bar bites. The sirloin cubes rubbed with black pepper made a good start to the dinner as they were quite juicy and succulent. They came with a bowl of blue cheese sauce that was neither overly salty nor too aged.
Grilled Boneless Chicken Thigh S$22.00
Taste: 8.5/10
The grilled chicken thigh was a delight to have as it was tender and marinated well, not forgetting the crispy skin that was nicely charred. It was siting on top of grilled potatoes and a combination of vegetables that were adequately fresh. The mushroom sauce was good, but it could be slightly thicker.
Aglio Olio with Prawns S$22.00
Taste: 7/10
I was quite amazed by the four prawns that were executed well, for they were truly bouncy. The spaghetti was al dente and spicy enough for my liking, but it wasn't as moist as I'd love it to be. In addition, they could certainly use a bit more garlic to make the dish more aromatic.
Apple Crumble a la Mode S$5.00
Taste: 6/10
Alas, the apple crumble wasn't particularly exciting. Even though it was served warm, I've had others with a nicer balance of the sweet and the sour for the filling. It came with a few slices of strawberries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream that unfortunately had started melting by the time it reached the table.

I'd love to come back for the chicken thigh. Pika's advice: For those using Entertainer app for the 1-for-1 promotion, do take note that the the main courses are priced higher.
