SIN: New York Pizza Factory

10" pizza coming your way in 10 minutes!

Even though I'm living in Chinatown, I rarely pay China Square Central a visit. Even when I went there, it was just to take a shortcut from one entrance to the other end. New York Pizza Factory is a casual eatery with a few seats, having an open kitchen concept. It seems like its lucky number is 10, for it has ten different pizza flavours to choose from, all 10", served within 10 minutes. Price? S$10.00 each.

Since we were just looking for a quick dinner, my BFF and I ordered a flavour each. Pika's advice: Besides pizzas, they also serve soup, buffalo wings and ice cream sandwiches. Perhaps you may want to give any of them a try.

Signature White Pizza S$10.00

Taste: 7/10

Their signature pizza turned out to be mediocre. While it had an interesting mix of chicken, mushrooms and herbs sitting on garlic cream sauce and mozzarella cheese, the white meat was pretty dry. The sauce was indeed creamy, but I wouldn't mind a stronger garlic aroma in it. The base, however, was solid. It was of the thin type, but not paper-thin, and delightfully crunchy.

El Diablo S$10.00

Taste: 9/10

Spanish for "The Devil", this particular flavour was devilishly good. It wasn't just spicy pepperoni slices that jolted my taste buds, so did the jalapeno slices. The sweet tomato sauce and savoury white sauce bound everything together into one delicious piece of art.

I'd definitely be interested to come back to try other pizza varieties, as well as their buffalo wings.
