More-than-decent pulled pork burger and chocolate roll!

I've seen a few branches of Artisan Boulangerie Co. around the island, or ABC in short, but have never sat down there to have something to satiate my stomach. Led by Eran Mayer, an award-winning artisan baker, the bakery imports its flour from a traditional flour mill outside Paris.

Homestyle Linguine and Meatballs S$17.80
Taste: 6/10

Despite its promising appearance with cheese and basil on top, the linguine dish wasn't particularly memorable. While the pasta itself was alright, the tomato sauce wasn't that zesty and certainly not sweet enough. The meatballs could be juicier, and so could the cherry tomatoes.

Braised Pulled Pork Burger S$17.80
Taste: 8/10

The shredded pork braised in homemade marinade was tender and juicy, going well with the BBQ sauce. Furthermore, it was complemented by creamy coleslaw that wasn't too overpowering in terms of taste. I also enjoyed the adequately thick fries that were slightly crispy on the outside, but fluffy inside.

Pain au Chocolat S$3.10
Taste: 8/10

You've got to try something from the bakery, right? Even though I'd love to have more of the sweet and rich filling, the chocolate roll won my heart. The outer layer was crispy and buttery enough for my liking.

Bread

Actually the bakery also packed some bread slices, which were unfortunately a tad hard and dry.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 7.5/10

I wonder what other nice pastry they've got besides the chocolate roll. Pika's advice: For those interested in their brunch items, take note that the serving time is until 2.00pm on weekdays and 5.00pm on weekends.
