NLD: Original Stroopwafels
Do you like your 'stroopwafel' with or without chocolate?
There's one thing I absolutely can't afford to miss whenever in the Netherlands. I recall how I was over the moon when I tried stroopwafel (Dutch thin waffle filled with caramel syrup) for the first time in my life. When you're in Amsterdam, simply head to Albert Cuyp Market for a taste of freshly baked ones.
The stall prides itself in being one of the few in the country that still prepares those delicate waffles using the traditional method.

Chocolate Original Stroopwafel €2.00 (~S$3.20)
Taste: 9.5/10
Who could resist the aroma of made-to-order stroopwafel? The waffle was crunchy, but not fragile, filled with adequate caramel syrup that wasn't overly sweet. Half of it was brushed with rich melted chocolate that resulted in the right degree of sweetness overall. Truly decadent!

From what I gathered, the ever-popular stall has been around for at least 45 years. Pika's advice: Go for the jumbo The Superstrooper as shown in the first photo if the original size can't satisfy your craving. It's priced at €3.50 (~S$5.55).
