CAN: The Niagara Brewing Company

"Some may say it’s crazy to build Niagara’s newest craft brewery on the street of fun..."

Located in the heart of Clifton Hill, one of the main tourist hubs in Niagara Falls, The Niagara Brewing Company has been crafting batches after batches of beer since 2015. Whether you're a beer aficionado or simply looking to unwind with friends, the place offers a welcoming environment to sip, savour and enjoy the best of the local brews.

The Signature Beer Flights C$17.00 (~S$16.85)
Taste: 8/10

Even though I'm not a big fan of beer, I was more than eager to sample their four signature beer variants. Among them, the Irish Red Ale stood out to me for its prominent malt flavour with caramel, biscuit and toffee highlights. Following closely behind would be the Honeymoon Peach Radler, a refreshing option with a touch of ginger and a delightful hint of sweetness that lingered on the palate. Next in line was the Beerdevil IPA, notable for its robust flavour profile and higher alcohol content of 6.5%, and finally the medium-bodied Niagara Premium Lager.

Rhubarb Lemonade C$17.00 (~S$16.85)
Taste: 8/10

The non-alcoholic beverage that I ordered turned out to be a winner as well, offering a delightful balance of tartness and sweetness. Made from fresh rhubarb stalks and zesty lemon juice, it was served over ice with a garnish of a lemon slice. I reckon it'd an ideal refreshment for a hot day.

Crispy Wings (5 pcs) C$18.00 (~S$17.85)
Taste: 8/10

Adequately seasoned with salt, pepper and herbs, the crowd pleaser dish of deep-fried chicken wings wasn't too greasy. Accompanied by crisp carrot and celery sticks, the wings went well with the creamy and tangy blue cheese sauce that added a satisfying richness to each mouthful.

Salt Pretzel C$7.00 (~S$6.95)
Taste: 8/10

Words can't describe how much I love pretzels. Boasting a crisp exterior and a soft interior, the pretzel was sprinkled with just the right amount of salt to enhance its natural flavour. Adding a unique twist to the traditional cheese dip was the bold notes of the Beerdevil IPA. Pika's advice: Cheese Pretzel is also available for the same price. Buy two and you'll get a discount of C$0.50 (~S$0.45).

Melon's Rating

Don't forget to get your photo taken while hugging a big can of Niagara Premium Lager outside the brewery.
