SIN: Joe & The Juice

"A juicer is not a machine!"

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Joe & The Juice is a chain of stores serving coffee, juice and sandwiches made with organic ingredients. Founded in 2002, it has got more than 300 locations around the world as of 2019. At the point of writing, there are three outlets in Singapore. I dropped by the one at Sentosa Cove during my staycation at W Singapore - Sentosa Cove.

Which one do you think is Pikachu's favourite?

Joe's Club Sandwich S$9.90
Taste: 7.5/10

The sandwich wasn't too shabby as the grilled rectangular toast was crunchy enough without being too dry. The lightly smoked chicken breast was adequately tender, accompanied by mashed avocados and tomato slices. Having said that, I was hoping for the pesto to be more aromatic. Pika's advice: It appears that some people have given thumbs up for the Spicy Tuna Sandwich, which is priced at S$9.90. I'm not exactly a fan of tuna, but you may want to consider that.

Coffee Shake (Small) S$7.40
Taste: 6/10

For the joe, I decided to try the 12 oz coffee shake, which turned out to be somewhat disappointing. It wasn't bad, but I was expecting more of the concoction of espresso and vanilla milk. Amping up the strength of the coffee would certainly be desirable. At the same time, for a chilled drink, I'd also love for it to be served at a lower temperature.

Joe's Green Mile S$10.30
Taste: 8.5/10

I also had a taste of one of the signature juice drinks that only comes in one size (16 oz). The combination of broccoli, spinach, avocado, apple and lemon was pretty fragrant, and more importantly, it didn't leave any unpleasant raw taste on my palate. The drink was mildly sweet with the right degree of thickness.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 8/10
Ambience: 7.5/10
Overall: 7.5/10

The company believes in giving managers some autonomy in running their outlets.
