VIE: Golden Lotus Cruise [Part 3: Breakfast]

A very simple breakfast before kayaking...

After the decent dinner the previous day, we chose to relax at the upper deck of the Golden Lotus Cruise. If sitting down and enjoying the night breeze sound too boring for you, fret not, you can sing karaoke or try to do squid fishing with the crew. Afterwards, we really had a good night sleep.

The breakfast provided on the second day was downright simple. I guess I'll just give an overall score for the taste at the end of the review.

Sunny-Side Up Eggs & Ham

The sunny-side up eggs were a little bit oily for my liking, but the yolks were still pretty moist. The slices of ham were adequately thick and mildly flavoured.

Bread

The slices of bread came with unsalted butter and strawberry jam.

Banana

The bananas were of the right degree of ripeness, and thus nicely sweet.

Tea & Coffee

While the coffee was only mildly strong, the tea was pretty strong and aromatic.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 6.5/10
Ambience: 8/10
Overall: 7/10

Pika's advice: Early birds may want to do tai chi, a type of Chinese martial art, before having breakfast. Otherwise, you can sleep a bit longer just like what we did. Haha... After breakfast, we went to do kayaking for an hour. Behold, the beauty of Ha Long Bay on a sunny day!
