As there was an event taking place under the roof, my BFF and I were seated at the al fresco dining area next to the garden.

Formerly known as Hosted on the Patio, Portico Host is a casual dining restaurant with its own edible garden. It works in partnership with Plant Visionz and Tiberias Harvest fishery for fresh ingredients to be used in its predominantly modern European-inspired dishes.
As there was an event taking place under the roof, my BFF and I were seated at the al fresco dining area next to the garden.
Caesar Salad S$16.00
Taste: 8/10
Featuring a 64 degree Celsius egg, the simple salad was enjoyably fresh. The garlic croutons were addictively crunchy and aromatic, but there wasn't a lot of the bacon bits. The amount of mayonnaise wasn't overwhelming.
Pulau Ubin Sea Bass Fish and Chips S$23.00
Taste: 8.5/10
The sea bass brought by Tiberias Harvest was delicious indeed. Not only was the fish juicy, but also flaky. The curly fries were executed well. However, the lime-scented apple salad, which got its name from Waldorf Hotel in New York City, made use of walnuts that were a bit stale.
Farmed Mushroom Three Grain Risotto S$28.00
Taste: 8/10
One plate, two types of mushrooms and three grains - the vegetarian risotto dish was delectable. Making use of mushrooms from Plant Visionz, it was creamy enough for my liking. The deep-fried enoki mushrooms were moderately crispy, while the mushroom ragout was flavourful.
Frozen Basil Parfait S$12.90
Taste: 7.5/10
It seems like many of the dessert items are leaning towards deconstruction. We ordered the lemon pound cake that came with refreshing green apple sorbet, embellished with chocolate shards, cocoa crumbs, hazelnut rice, cassis sauce and flower petals.
