SIN: 4Fingers [Delivery]

Kimslaw = kimchi + coleslaw!

4Fingers is a chain of fast food eateries specialising in Asian style fried chicken. It only came to my attention not long ago that it's actually locally owned by a Singaporean called Vijay Sethu. Founded in 2009, 4Fingers has made its way to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia and the USA.

Wingettes and Drummetes Combo (6 pcs) S$10.95

Good for one person, this particular combo comes with one side and a beverage. For the latter, I chose Coke Zero.

Wingettes and Drummetes (Set Menu)
Taste: 8/10

Between hot sauce and garlic soy sauce, I chose the latter to be brushed on my chicken pieces. Still crispy when they arrived at my home, the wingettes and drummetes were pretty juicy too. While it could be more garlicky, the soy sauce had a nice balance between the sweet and the salty. Pika's advice: Should you wish to get the best of both worlds, you can request for a mix of both types of sauce.

Skinny Fries (Seaweed) (Set Menu)
Taste: 7/10

Frankly speaking, they didn't look skinny at all, though I wasn't complaining. The fries weren't bad, though I've certainly had better elsewhere. They were topped with seaweed powder that was sweet and savoury at the same time.

Kimslaw S$3.50
Taste: 7/10

I was curious about 4Fingers' answer to coleslaw. The house-made kimchi (Korean dish made of fermented cabbages) coleslaw turned out to be less rich than expected, but it was somewhat refreshing. It was mildly spicy.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 7.5/10

From a single store in ION Orchard in 2009, 4Fingers has expanded quickly to 28 branches as of 2019.
