SIN: The Cup [Delivery]

"Korean homemade food in stylish food cups"

The Cup at PoMo aims to provide quick Korean dishes, promising fresh ingredients and lower calories. Most of the items, except those soupy ones, come in typical white-coloured Chinese takeaway boxes commonly seen in Western countries, which bear the logo of the eatery.

Budae Jjigae (Pork) S$9.90
Taste: 7/10

To tell the truth, I only started eating Korean army stew two years ago. The individual portion served by The Cup was adequately sweet and spicy, having typical ingredients such as luncheon meat, baked beans, bean curd, vegetables and instant noodle, which unfortunately had already become soggy by the time it reached my house. The yellow-coloured rice didn't have any particular fragrance.

Bulgogi Pasta (Beef) S$8.90
Taste: 8/10

Upon opening the box, I noticed that the pasta used for the dish was quite thick. Nevertheless, it was cooked well till springy. The marinated beef slices were succulent and juicy, while the crunchy vegetables provided a nice contrast to the texture of the red meat.

Honey Mid-Wings S$8.90
Taste: 7.5/10

As a side dish, I ordered some chicken mid-wings that were tender enough for my liking. They came with honey mustard topped with chopped herbs, which turned out to be finger-licking good.

Melon's Rating
Taste: 7.5/10

The Cup has been around since October 2015. Pika's advice: The eatery serves a variety of bingsu (Korean shaved ice dessert), but not as delivery or takeaway items.
