CAN: Sharky's Chophouse

Satisfy your sharky carnivorous craving!

Lynn Canyon Park is one of the places that my BFF and I planned to visit when we were in Vancouver, Canada. Before taking a bus from Lonsdale Quay to go to the park, we had a fulfilling lunch at Sharky's Chophouse, a highly rated butcher shop serving value-for-money meals.

We only ordered one plate to share, which was more than enough to fill our stomachs.

Two-Meat-Two-Sides Meal C$13.00 (~S$13.50)
Sirloin RoastTaste: 8.5/10
Glazed Ham - Taste: 9.5/10
Pierogies - Taste: 7.5/10
Meat Lover Spaghetti - Taste: 6/10

I immediately fell in love with the glazed ham that was, albeit sinful, extremely tender and full of its meat juice. Topped with brown gravy with sautéed onions, the sirloin roast was delicious too, though it couldn't beat the outstanding ham. One of the sides that we ordered was the Eastern European dumplings filled with mashed potatoes, which reminded me of Poland. The other side that wasn't so sterling was the spaghetti with tomato-based meat sauce, which was slightly overcooked. Pika's advice: Besides the brown gravy, you can also request for sour cream and spring onions as toppings for free, which was what we did to complement the dumplings.

We were initially thinking of having brunch at the Lynn Canyon Café, but looking at the time, we knew we couldn't make it there before they stopped serving the breakfast menu. Nevertheless, we were certainly not disappointed with our lunch from Sharky's Chophouse.
